Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder.Its symtoms include differences and disabilities in many areas including social communication skills,fine and gross motor skill and sometimes intellectual skills.Autism is also a spectrum disorder.In basic terms, this means you can be a little autistic or very autistic.At one end of the spectrum is Asperger Syndrome, sometimes called 'The Little Professor Syndrome'.At the end of the spectrum is the disorder that is most often called classic or Kannerian autism, which often includes profound developmental delays and challenges.In between are a variety of pervasive developmental disorder including 'Rett Syndrome,Fragile X Syndrome' and 'pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS)'.
Not only is autism a spectrum disorder, but recent studies suggest that there may be more than one type of autism.While some autistic people have additional symptoms such as gastrointestinal issues,seizures and even mental illness, others have no such symptoms.

Ini adalah diantara pelatih-pelatih Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Sri Aman semasa majlis penyampaian Ang Pau oleh Persatuan Che Chuan Khor Sri Aman
Majlis Amal Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Sri Aman akan diadakan pada 25 June 2010.Majlis ini b'tujuan mengumpul dana utk pelatih-pelatih PDK.Pada malam tersebut pelatih-pelatih kami akan m'buat persembahan spt joget utk pelatih-pelatih remaja n 'Fashion Show' utk pelatih kanak-kanak.Selain itu turut diadakan pelbagai jenis aktiviti utk memeriahkan majlis amal tersebut.Diharap Majlis Amal utk Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Sri Aman akan m'dapat smbutan terutama dikalangan penduduk setempat.Selain itu tujuan majlis amal ini bukan hnya untuk mengumpul dana malah utk m'dekatkan golongan kurang upaya dgn masyarakat setempat kerana masyarakat kini kurang mengambil berat mengenai kewujudan mereka.Harapan kami sbg petugas PDK agar masyarakat tdk mnyisihkan golongan kurang upaya di Sri Aman dan memberi peluang kepada mereka utk bergaul bersama masyarakat setempat.Kami sbg petugas PDK menerima kehadiran masyarakat di Sri Aman utk mendekatkan diri dgn golongan kurang upaya yang berada di Pusat Pemulihan Dlm Komuniti Sri Aman.
